In 2005, a group of artists in Italy built a giant 200-foot-long plushie rabbit in the countryside, and just left it there. It’s been there ever since.
Stunning Russian Metro Stations by David BurdenyStunning Russian Metro Stations by David Burdeny
Canadian artist David Burdeny is the first photographer to document the beautiful Russian underground train station network after hours.. Burdeny has travelled into the pristine bowels of Moscow and St Petersburg to capture the exotic and grandeur architecture in his photography series called Russia: A Bright Future.
Each of the images in the series take center stage, they are symmetrical ornaments. The architecture of these stations are extravagant; it feature elements found in churches and palaces. The stations had been built in the 30s and remain a lasting monument to the elegant union of modern and classical design.
Burdeny has explored the concept of “svet” (light) and “sveltloe budushchee” (a bright future) as a source of inspiration for this series. Known as an “artificial metro sun”, these luxurious floors, opulent ceilings and gilded walls pay tribute to the history of Russia in the glory of the Stalin era.

Oh okay.
I can’t not reblog.
I care too much.
reblogging this to remind myself to donate when I get my purse
reblogging this because I really want them to live like we do.
A MUST TO REBLOG
PLEASE REBLOG. I don’t care if it’s truth or not. But it may be, and you have to understand that this is REALLY important. When you get your hands dirty you just go to the bathroom and clean them. Well this people can’t, and they can’t shower either. And they need that water to drink it, and to stay alive. There’s people out there suffering, and just by reblogging you can help them. So please, I don’t care if this doesn’t fit your blog, this is actually worth it.
How can this not have 1million+ reblogs?
REBLOG
idk how a reblog can generate money but there’s nothing to lose I guess
me on a date: so... haha... when did you realise your standards were this low? :)

Tbh stop treating cigarette smokers like shit. The intersections of smoking, minority stress, mental illness, and poverty are *undeniable.* Nicotine is an appetite suppressant, a cigarette is cheaper than a meal. Smoking is hella prevalent in people w/ eating disorders. It’s used to self-medicate adhd, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder. Cigarettes are cheaper than mental health care for the uninsured. It could also be a habit someone undiagnosed picks up. Cigarettes are one of the most socially acceptable ways to self-harm, you won’t get fired for smoking but you could/would get fired if you came to work with visible self-harm scars. Lots of people start smoking *because* it’s bad for you. All oppressed groups are more vulnerable to addiction than the general population (minority stress) and nicotine is a relatively low (immediate) risk outlet for addiction/pleasure seeking behavior.
This means that when you are openly talking shit about smokers, you are probably talking about poc, mentally ill people, queer people, poor people etc. At this point, it’s pretty safe to assume people know cigarettes are terrible for them, they are probably smoking for a reason. I’m not defending smoking, I’m not saying it is not bad for you. I’m saying if you actually want to help people, start addressing WHY people smoke. Protect vulnerable people and fight the systems that make them vulnerable.
